With the vision that the only way out of isolation, stigma and poverty is through empowerment and development, WOO wants to generate opportunities, income, and self-sufficiency for disadvantaged people in vulnerable communities through employment and through partnership building. The involvement of local community-based organizations and development organizations leads to collaborative implementation of projects. An inclusive business model is used to produce sustainable luxury products, through which WOO is able to connect the most marginalized populations with the consumer population, people on both ends of the value chain. For WOO, impact means the impact on the lives of those who produce and those who use WOO products. We measure our impact among four different target groups illustrated in the video below:
In developing countries where WOO sources and produces its products, we aim to impact 1 million people in 10 years of operation, by 2025. WOO products will reach out and impact the lifestyle of 10 million consumers in the same period.
WOO follows the principles of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in every possible aspect of our business. These goals were established in 2015 to guide global, regional and national efforts to reduce poverty, address climate change, build inclusive societies, and address a myriad of other pressing global problems.

I love when my wife puts the travel set into my suitcase whenever I go on business trips. The design and scent are elegant and sweet. It reminds me of home and not just another hotel. The recycled bottle is a plus and knowing I’m supporting something good on the ground with each product is nice.
Worlds Of Opportunities is now my go-to brand for candles. I love the smell and the quality of the organic wax. It’s amazing that such a relatively small package lasts 90 hours! I’ve been burning mine on and off for weeks, and I still have at least half left! I’ll definitely be getting the aroma diffuser next as I love the design. The social responsibility bit is a great bonus.

The WOO store in Amsterdam made an impression as I walked by, but once I understood the story of the brand I was impressed. I love candle light, it gives my house an extra feel of home, I am happy to be able to light a WOO candle in my house while contributing to a positive impact on the world.
